"John Dory"
"John Dory" ca 4' long, somewhat larger than the actual fish, reputed to be of commercial importance in the North Atlantic. Never ate one, personally, but find them to be exceptionlly piscine altogether. Stave Karafides of Wahoo's Mexican Restaurants owns this one, which is in the San Clemente eatery. (I plan to put out several Wahoo next year, which are the most pellmell and voracious of the mackeral tribe. They look a lot more like a gigantic barracuda, and are the villains of many a fish story which have them coming right up into the boat, and savaging luckless anglers.)
